FUNDS AVAILABILITY POLICY

Generally our policy is to make funds from your cash and check* deposits into your transaction account* available to you on the same business day we receive the deposit. Electronic deposits will be available on the day we receive the deposit. Once they are available, you can withdraw the funds in cash, and we can use the funds to pay checks you have written.

For determining the availability of deposits, every day is a business day, except Saturdays, Sundays, and federal holidays. If a deposit is made before closing on a business day that we are open, we consider that day to be the day of the deposit. However, if a deposit is made after closing or on a day we are not open, the deposit will be treated as if it were made on the next business day we are open.

Longer delays may apply. In some cases, we will not make all of the funds deposited by check available to you on the same business day as the deposit was made. Depending on the type of check deposited, funds may not be available until the 5th business day after the deposit. However, the first $100 of a deposit will be available on the first business day.

If we don't make all of the funds from a deposit available to you on the same business day, we will notify you at the time you make your deposit. We will also tell you when the funds will be available. If a deposit is not made directly to one of our employees, or if we decide to take action after you have left the premises, we will mail a notice to you the day after the deposit. If you will need the funds from a deposit right away, you should ask us when the funds will be available. In addition, fund you deposit by check may be delayed for a longer period under the following circumstances:

A. We believe a check you deposited will not be paid.
B. You deposit checks totaling more than $5,000 on any one day.
C. You redeposit a check that has been returned unpaid.
D. You have overdrawn their account repeatedly in the last six months.
E. There is an emergency, such as failure of communications or computer equipment.
F. The transaction account is a new account (30 days or less).

We will notify you if we delay their ability to withdraw funds for any of these reasons, and we will tell you when the funds will be available. They will generally be available no later than the sixth business day after the day of deposit.

Deposits at Automated Teller Machines:

Funds from any deposits (cash or checks) made at the Credit Union's automated teller machines (ATMs) prior to 2:00 p.m. on any business day will be made available the next business day.
Funds deposited after 2:00 p.m. on any business day will be made available within two business days.
Funds deposited at a non-proprietary ATM will be available no later than he 5th business day following the deposit.

Deposits at Night Depository:

Funds from any deposits (cash or checks) made at the Credit Union's night deposit will be made available for withdrawal by 12:00 noon the next business day.

Special Rules for New Accounts: If you are a new member, the following special rules will apply during the first 30 days your account is open. Funds from electronic deposits to your account** will be available on the day we receive the deposit. Funds from deposits of cash, wire transfers, and the first $5,000 of a day’s total deposits of cashier’s, certified, teller’s, traveler’s, and federal, state, and local government checks will be available by at least the first business day after the day of your deposit if the deposit meets certain conditions. For example, the checks must be payable to you (and you may have to use a special deposit slip). The excess over $5000 will be available by at least the ninth business day after the day of your deposit. If your deposit of these checks (other than a U.S. Treasury check) is not made in person to one of our employees, the first $5000 will not be available until at least the second business day after the day of your deposit. Funds from all other checks will be available on at least the 6th business day after the day of your deposit.

*Check applies only to checks covered by Reg CC, which are checks drawn on or payable through an office of a depository institution located in the United States. Any other checks deposited, such as a foreign item, will be delayed for a reasonable time.

**Transaction account includes your checking or share draft account but not your savings account or similar accounts (MM; club; etc) that have or may have withdrawal restrictions.
