Hoosier Hills Credit Union offers the following in-branch services to make doing business with us easier, quicker, and more efficient for you.
ATM Service / ATM Cards
Use your HHCU ATM card to withdraw cash from your checking or savings accounts, make deposits, make loan payments, transfer money from savings to checking, from savings to special accounts, and get cash advances against your Credit Union VISA card. Use any of the following Credit Union ATM's at no charge: Bedford Service Center, Paoli Service Center, Jasper Service Center, Mitchell Service Center, Westside Drive-Up, Main Street in Oolitic, and GM Powertrain Gatehouse. You may also use one of more than 11,000 NYCE or CIRRUS ATM's nationwide for a small fee.
Debit Cards eliminate the hassle of writing checks. Our debit card is accepted anywhere MasterCard is accepted and can also be used as an ATM card.

Q. What is a Debit Card?
A. It allows you to make purchases at any retail establishment which accepts MasterCard. It is much quicker than check writing, and much more convenient.
Q. How do I obtain a Debit Card?
A. You may visit your local service center to sign up, or apply online.
Q. Will my spouse automatically receive one?
A. No. If you currently have more than one Debit Card for one member number, you will want to order additional cards. A member can have more than one debit card to a particular checking account.
Q. How much does an ATM / Debit Card cost?
A. There is no charge for either.
Q. How do I use a Debit Card?
A. At the ATM machine, use it the same as your ATM card. At a retail establishment, situations vary. Generally, if the cashier must swipe your card for you, it will be treated exactly like a credit card transaction, and you will sign your receipt. You will not be charged interest, however, because the money is coming straight out of your checking account. In addition, you will have signed proof of your authorized purchase. If the retail establishment is set up for you to swipe your own card at the checkout, the Credit Union recommends that you treat the transaction as a credit option so you may retain your signed receipt. A 'Debit' or 'ATM' option may be available, in which case you will have to enter your PIN to complete the transaction and you will NOT receive a signed receipt.
Q. What if my transactions are denied because funds aren't available - but I know the money is there?
A. Sometimes members forget to transfer money or make deposits, or technology just isn't fast enough to accurately reflect members' up-to-the-minute balance. Apply for an Overdraft Line of Credit. Your Line of Credit's available balance will be included in your debit card's total available balance, and this can compensate for any delays in updating Magic Line's records regarding your true balance. You may never hit your Line of Credit, but if you do, you'll be glad it was there for you.
Q. How do I report a lost or stolen ATM or Debit card?
A. During normal business hours, call (800) 865-2612. You can also request a replacement card when you call. After normal business hours, call 1-800-472-3272.Close
With Direct Deposit, members may have their funds automatically deposited into any of their Credit Union accounts. Many employers and all government agencies make direct deposit available for their employees and retirees. Plus, you get a discount on Bill Pay if you have Direct Deposit to your HHCU account. Contact a Call Center Representative at (800) 865-2612 for assistance in signing up for direct deposit.
Many local employers provide this service. The employer simply deducts a set amount of money from your regular pay, which is sent to the Credit Union. Members may have this money deposited into any of their accounts at the Credit Union. Plus, you get a discount on Bill Pay if you have Payroll Deduction to your HHCU account. Night Deposits are located next to the drive-up windows at most of our office locations for members 24 hour use.
*Jasper's night deposit is located by the front entrance door.
Mastercard® Gift Cards
The Mastercard Gift Card is a prepaid card that can be used at millions of locations where Mastercard debit cards are accepted. Mastercard Gift cards are available to members for $3.00 and to non-members for $6.00.
Notary Public service is available FREE to all Credit Union members.
American Express Traveler's checks, known and accepted world-wide, are FREE to all Credit Union members.
Safe Deposit Boxes (Bedford Main Branch and Tell City only)
Safe Deposit Boxes are located at our Bedford Service Center, but any member may rent one. Four sizes are available with rental rates starting at $12 per year. For more information, ask your member service representative.
Money Orders & Cashier's Checks
Money Orders and Cashier's Checks are available to Credit Union members for only 50 cents each.
FREE Coin Machine (Bedford Main Branch only)
Simply pour your coins into the coin machine, get your cash voucher, then cash it in or deposit it directly into your account at a teller window.
